Afrika Bambaataa
Dance Musicシーンの頂点に君臨する「Afrika Bambaataa」がMETAMORPHOSEの復活を祝して富士山の麓に奇跡の降臨。HIP HOPの創始者にして “Master of Records” と称される彼こそがブレイクビーツを初めてプレイしたDJである。全てのElectronic Dance Musicの根源を生で体現出来る貴重な機会となる。METAMORPHOSEには、2004年、2009年、2012年以来の出演となる。

The legendary DJ and Hip-Hop architect also founder of the Universal Zulu Nation a global awareness organization,Afrika Bambaataa, plays a major roll for creating this multi billion dollar industry that we call hip hop today. Born in the Bronx, Afrika Bambaataa is well acknowledged as one of the 3 founders of Hip-Hop.
He started deejaying in early 1970 and later launched his Hip-Hop oriented music group called the’Unive al Zulu Nation’.His music interests were diversified from the start, and would range from African sounds to RnB, classical, Latin jazz as well as Caribbean Calypso.
Afrika Bambaataa is well known for his endless support for the development of Hip-Hop and deejaying, and which earned him the name’Master of Records’. He was the first DJ to ever perorm break-beats. For this reason, many prominent deejays acknowledge him as the Godfather of Hip-Hop and the Amen Ra of the Hip Hop Culture. Pertinently, he is also accredited as the’Father’of Electro-Funk sound. He was nominated in 2007 for an induction into’The Rock and Roll Hall of fame’, and a visiting scholar to Cornell University in 2012 for three years.
All in all, the legendary Afrika Bambaataa is renown for his contribution to the development of the Hip-Hop, Disco,Electro-Funk and House music genres. He is also known for several of his albums including “Planet Rock”, “Dark Matter Moving at the Speed of Light” and “Sun City”. His involvement in the music industry is what actually contributes to the accumulation of his overall wealth. This ranges from music production, deejaying acting and performances.

Darren Emerson
Electronic Musicの隆盛の頂点を極めたUnderworldの “Born Slippy” や “REZ” 等を生み出したのが「Darren Emerson」、その張本人によるパフォーマンスは最高のロケーションとの相乗効果も相俟って、更なる高い次元に誘ってくれるはず。METAMORPHOSEには、2007年、2010年、2012年以来の出演となる。

Darren began his career mixing hip hop in his mid-teens and by 16 he was regularly gigging at local venues. It was in 1990, as fate would have it, he was introduced to Rick Smith and Karl Hyde and together they would go on to become one of the most successful Techno groups in dance music history – Underworld. Parting ways with the band in 2000, Darren found instant success as a solo DJ playing around the world with dance super brand Global Underground, resulting in three globally-successful CD mix albums; each one a little piece of dance floor history.
As well as being a successful DJ and producer, Darren is also a highly regarded record label owner, promoter and proud father. His first label, Underwater was founded in 1994 and became seminal. Since then, his new label Detone has become a strong force within the House and Techno worlds. He’s also begun further production work as The White Lamp (with Pete Josef) and as one tripod leg of 3D (with Danny Howells and Dave Seaman).

Los Hermanos
アンチメジャー且つアンダーグラウンドを極めたデトロイトシーンの中で最大のアンセムとなった “Knights of the Jaguar”、このトラックがプレイされないフロアは地球上に存在しないとも言われた名作をプロダクションしたのがGerald MitchellとDj Rolando 、そしてUR総帥 Mad Mike Banksである。そのUnderground Resistanceの活動はLos Hermanos、Timeline、Galaxy 2 Galaxyと発展し、現在でも欧米を中心にネオデトロイトブームを引き起こし、次世代のクリエイター・DJ達に因って更に拡大し続けている。その “Knights of the Jaguar” をはじめとする数々の名トラックのコンポーザー達による人力生演奏によるライブは、楽曲の完成度と高い演奏スキルに拠り、DJプレイで聴く “Knights of the Jaguar” とは全く次元が異なる圧倒的な迫力を体感することが出来る。Los Hermanosとしては、2009年以来14年ぶりの出演となる。

Los Hermanos Is A Collective Of International Musicians,Producers,Dj’s and Artist Detroit techno released from the depths of this mysterious collective, 1999’s Knights of the Jaguar ep was the collaboration between Gerald Mitchell, Dj Rolando and Mad Mike Banks upon the success of thi EP and developing an emerging new aesthetic, Gerald Mitchell and Dj Rolando decided to form anew division under the name Los Hermanos Rolando left soon afterwards and Gerald continued Los Hermanos In 2005 they released their debut album, On Another Level, after which they set off across the globe to perform their thrilling and effective live sets. together Gerald Mitchell and Los Hermanos the band form a diverse group of complex personalities that perform live mixing together turntables, percussion, synthesizers and other machines creating a music that combines classic techniques with electronic innovations and even touches of salsa, and intense performance and a mythic group Gerald Mitchell continues to lead Los Hermanos as a producer, band leader, dj, and sonic visionary whose music has made a huge impact on Detroit House and Techno globally Los Hermanos continues to create music under the direction of Gerald Mitchell.
